Staff & Directors
Eleni's earliest experience in arts education was at age 15; she began a theater program at her old Elementary School, producing and directing four summers of musicals. This program was integrated into the curriculum and continues today.Eleni met Alice Seeger of Hands On History in 2004 while freelance teaching for several arts organizations. She loved the program and process of the Fair and now co-operates it with Ike Shaw, who she met at summer camp when they were teens.
Besides teaching, Eleni works as a professional actress, costume designer; is an avid world traveler; and co-founded The Wayfinder Experience, Inc. with her childhood friends (including Mr. Shaw), a theater-based summer camp for young people and an arts-in-education program that teaches co-operative play, storytelling, improvisation, and teambuilding, where she also served for years as a teacher. Today, more than seven years later, the company is still thriving and has touched the lives of thousands of young people.
Ehren Remal currently lives in Philadelphia PA and is a teaching artist for Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater, Theater Horizon, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, etc. He fell in love with teaching while working for Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA where he taught at-risk youth on probation who had been sentenced to a semester of learning and performing Shakespeare and saw how involved and dynamic teaching along with using different types of learning could change lives.
